Here we go 2025 !

(He/him)

I write and sing mostly in french (#french #chanson) but I translate every lyrics in english (#withtranslation).

I'm really in for collaboration. I can play #harmonica, #ukulele, electric and folk guitar and sing with a thick french accent.

I love to discover other fawmers' work, and I reciprocate the listens as much as I can. Still, at the end of february I usually have tones of listening to do and I do it in march.

So excited to be back ! Ça me fait plaisir de vous retrouver !

Thank you for listening to Firefly Alley and the lovely comment. Glad you enjoyed it and added some warmth as a reminder!

ALways wanted a bouzouki (looked things up). No, agreed, I can't cope with quarter tones!!

Thank you so much for commenting on "Civil Obedience". Happy you enjoyed this song. W will definitely make it happen! Guess I should check out The Thugs.

Thank you for your nice comment on my Chasm of the Goblin song!

Merci! 🙏♥️

Thank you so much Ambroise!! I truly appreciate such kind comments :)

@mace66

Thanks for listening to another of my songs ('Cleaning Windows') and taking the time to comment, it's much appreciated.

[avatar]

Thanks for your comment on "Unless It's Under Your Control". It's more of a general fantasy filk than about any one specific story, but you're right that there are matters of identity in there. I love the suggestion of a guqin! I thought about trying to use multiple instruments (though not that one because I don't play it), and ultimately, it's only guitar because that was simplest for me, but I think it would sound all the better with more variety.

@mace66

Thanks for the listen and comments on 'Legacy' (especially as it runs to 7+ minutes). I was very happy with the way the song came out but at the same time, quite saddened about the situation that inspired the song.

[avatar]

@ambroise, I'm so glad you heard what I was going for in I Want To Be a Song, a 3-way collab with @kerriwinter and @dreamscuba. "Being all music at last." Wish I'd thought of that line! Thank you!

@ttg105

Thanks for all your great comments!

Merci beaucoup, Ambroise!! <3

Thank you for your lovely comments on "So long ago yet feels like yesterday"

[avatar]

Yeah! Bei uns auch! Es zeigt sich erstes Grün! „Es lebe der Hasenkönig!“

[avatar]

Thanks for the listen and your kind words!

@cathreu

Hey, thanks for your comment on "Ebb and Flow." We had alot of fun with that, and I am endlessly impressed by Mt. Mt. Melodies talent and enjoyed the opportunity to use my boombox haha!

I will be back for some #tit4tat commenting, slowly working my way down the list

[avatar]

Thanks for the nice comments! The drums on Monkeyshines are physically played by me. They are an Alesis Electronic Pad set with a Kick drum trigger. You physically play them which I did and recorded it. They are not programmed. For the electronic drums I just used a low Tom and the Kick drum and then did record a real tambourine as well.

@nadine

Ah, have you received my mail? I'm waiting for your mixdown to complete my FAWM back up. Thank you!

@nadine

Thank you so much for your thoughts and comment on "Trying to Be". I think it's been a good idea to go for a duet, too.

[avatar]

Thanks for all the kind words this past FAWM and congrats to you on another win! I really enjoy your music and hope to dig into more of your songs!

@paintonit

Hi there. I made my songs private cuz I’m going to release them later this year. Here’s a link for Thrift Store Graveyards.

Thank you for your feedback my Buffy song - you're right, Anya had died, I totally forgot that. bummer (wonders if she needs to re-write, but to be fair, demons always come back somehow - but then she gave up her demon side to be human yes? - son of a biscuit, I need to rewatch the series again !!). LOL

abraham de moivre is correct!

@ryuu

re: your comment on "Chaotic kitten energy" - thank you! Selena is indeed named for the moon because of her color. She was mostly white when she was a kitten, with a hint of silver. Now her winter coat is mostly greyish brown, which still fits the moon theme. She might get a little lighter again in summer, it's a quirk of her breed.

@bijou

Thank you for your nice comments!

Merci @ambroise! I think I would have struggled with the card you got. I consider myself quite fortunate this time round. Better luck next year!

@owling

[avatar]

Thanks so much for the kind comments on my song. You really listened 🙏🏻

[avatar]

Thanks for your black and blue comment - the drums are done in groove cell which comes as a plugin with pro tools - the bass is really low and the rest is super minimal which means you can really turn it up in the mix without it getting in the way of everything else. I like the massive attack style of kinda miss using dance drums as a sinister underpinning to a dark song.

@nadine

Thanks a lot for your comment on "Weightless Epiphany". I visited my friend by the North Sea the previous year and forgot to take videos. So glad he could send me some. The sound of sea waves have something soothing and comforting. As usual, Chris did a great job with the lyrics. Seems like we are a good team, because I have issues writing poetic and metaphoric lyrics. My writing is more into your face 😂

@owling

Merci pour le commentaire sur Sharp ! Epatant cette histoire de "caught in the middle". Je dirais que la melodie que j'imagine pour mon "stuck in the middle" est legerement différente mais pas si éloignée... 😱 Ho oui Aldebert !

@nadine

Thank you so much!!!

[avatar]

Thanks for the comments on a Few Good Years. Next year I will definitely take you up on the offer of adding harmonica to some of my songs. A la prochaine 😎

@cblack

Green candle for nature. 😉

Thanks. Glad you liked it. 😀

@wynia

Hello - just catching up here, thanks for stopping by "Common" last week and for your kind comments on the trumpet sound! Definitely get your kiddos involved, if only to borrow their instruments. Even if you aren't trained, my philosophy is if you can make a sound on the instrument, you play it! One of the (many) remaining songs in development for me aims to use all the instruments available in our house. Between my husband and I and our kids and the random things around it is going to be at least 15!

[avatar]

Not sure if this is the right place to respond to your query, but I'd love to have you add a harmonica to Listen To The Thunder if you really want to. Thx for the offer. I was hoping to get someone to solo on the instrumental part of the song.

[avatar]
@nadine

Finally home and listening. I added my words to the snog info!

[avatar]
@nadine

Thanks for your comment on Caioneag! I'm happy you enjoyed it. Now I just have to figure out how to pronounce...

[avatar]
@nadine

Thank you so much! I am very curious and will listen later. Had an extremely workday (and tomorrow wont be better....)

[avatar]
@willow1

Merci Ambroise! Yup I made the word sn’wind up, I felt cheeky and it feels kinda wrong but I felt like owning it, a most awkward never used before contraction. I feel like we never drop an ‘o’ in contractions so It feels particularly Weird To Read and write it.

[avatar]

Merci beaucoup!!

[avatar]
@gindark

I'm glad you had the impressions I had hoped!

[avatar]
@pippa

I'd love for you to add some harmonica or whatever you want to add to the sparrow song.

[avatar]
@owling

Quelle orga! :)

[avatar]
@pippa

Thank you, Ambroise! I had real misgivings about that song, the rough guitar and all, and you caught just the right thing to say!

[avatar]
@nadine

Hey there! @dudachris wrote on my wall that he was not working on "The Archer" yet. More precise - "If you get inspired or someone else wants to go at em before I say so you should let em have it 😀". That said I'll give you a go, @ambroise . There's no need to do it metal. Do as you hear it and I'm happy for the update. I will write a little comment into my song so we can avoid having multiple versions. Just let me know when you're ready. Feel free to upload and tag me as collab, and I may make my lyric post private. Thank you!

@owling
