I'll be making a note of Herb Chambers for FAWM 2026! I'll have a whole family of them before long

Thank you for your kind comments and thoughts on 'Phoenician Blue' You are right it is a love song by a narcissist. I've added that to the notes now.

See the 1981 film Knightriders, staring Ed Harris. On the surface, ren faire with motorcycles. But it's actually a deeply philosophical film.

You are the only one who listened to my Song of the Good Teacher and left a comment, so I appreciate that. It felt so risky to post, but with little feedback, we just don't know. And, yes, Jonah, the reluctant prophet whose sourness caused the fig tree to wither when he sat beneath it at the end.

In some ways, it's perhaps appropriate that the piece of yours was this one--it's an incredible improvisation!!! I don't think these fig trees will wither.

Thank you very much for your thoughts to my sketch "Der letzte Tag (The Last Day)"!

On Sharp Weapons, Leslie has a filk of Tin Soldier, called Cheap Weapons. I was desperately trying to not use that tune, so handed the written lyrics to greenclacier to generate work up a tune.

Regarding "Ain't No Dungeon" I've provided a link to the book series referenced in it if you're curious. 😉 (It's a series I quite like.)

Hi Gary! Boskone is MID-FAWM, but since Heather Preston is their science guest and we had a great time together at OVFF, we're planning to do a partial reprisal and Peggi Warner-Lalonde will join us as well. We can sing FAWMsongs in the song circles! See you there!

Edmund Welles is the name of a bass clarinet quartet I first heard on Spotify. And that started me thinking about writing more music for low reed instruments tgoether.
