I think the best ones are:

Shy To You Wayfinder Dream of Love This Wounded Heart Find You Love Light Mona Lisa Tonight

Wanting to be a fawm star and pop champagne but this music's on a lite beer budget.

First time on official fawm but did 50/90 last year.

I try to leave only positive comments on other's songs. Parts I enjoyed, thought were neat, interesting, or relatable. I will against my better judgement occasionally leave a suggestion when I just can not help myself (please forgive me).

Thanks for the comment on YEG. Yup, going to try it out when I head back up in a few weeks and see how people react. :)

thank you for the comment under "top secret area"! i added the "tall as me" line in the ending bit (which you liked a lot in whole but which i'm bringing up for loredump purposes because i like talking about that stuff and you might find it cool) because i'm gonna be using a lot of my FAWM stuff + whatever i make this month and in april on a demo tape called that, and it felt fitting to have a title drop in a tiny thing like that... it might even be a hidden track to take the title three meanings deep, we'll see haha. thanks for liking it :-) the outro harmonies were very very fun to do

Hey there, Lee man. Thanks for the deep peek into Cameo. I think you're right about that one line about "trivial as this". I can't even remember what I was thinking there. Might've just liked the sound of the words and didn't pay enough attention to where it took the message. Guilty of that sometimes.

Hey, FYI, I thought your 3/4 song on Friday was one of your best so far! Love to hear it again.

Thank you for all your kind words and encouragement this month! I've really enjoyed your music, thanks for sharing it with the world <3

Hey, Lee - I’m so glad you decided to do FAWM. You already feel like a Lifer to me. FAWM definitely exists in the intersection of my introvert and extrovert selves. I really appreciate your listening to songs of mine here and in the Songcircle.

Hey Lee, great seeing you today and thanks for the kind words. Life priorities have taken over the last few weeks. Congratulations on posting 17 this year and it is wonderful to see progress from fellow song sidekickers. Looking forward to hearing more of your writings!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment on This Colonial Life, I do hope that it's intent came through to you clearly 😄

Thanks for your comment on "One Minute of Noise". The percussion Morse code is, in fact, "noise". Good guessing! (The guitar Morse code is "signal".)

Thank you for your kind comments on "Water Finds a Way"! Much appreciated. :)

Thank you for your kind comments on "Aftercare" and "Hope Was On the Ballot"! I truly appreciate your feedback here.

yup I always pass the 1000. there is so much good stuff to listen to and I still only listen to 1 in 10 at the most.d

Shan’ts almost sounds a bit naughty, eh, but such a good word, much less clunky than shouldn’ts!

Thank you for your kind comments on "Solidarity"! I appreciate your thoughts. :)

Ahh, you always hit on the mystery lines. XD (I love that!) The slight furrow--make of that what you will. And why does my mother get headaches when she laughs? She didn't ever, and then she did, so she adjusted her laugh. She downgraded it to be less full. When she laughs now, it isn't the same, and I do wonder...why? My theories are all mystical in nature. I aim to make her belly laugh again one day, and rediscover that it doesn't hurt to laugh hard at the darkness. Thanks for the listen and feedback. <3

Thank you for your kind comments on "Where The Light Gets In"! I'm very touched by your comment that it's "a folk protest song for the ages." Wow.

[avatar]

Hey, Lee - it was kind of amazing how the whole Its Unlikely song just came floating out of listening to the song before it with the direction “change half the song” Maybe it also helps that my 18 year old daughter is interviewing to go to Germany which I did when I was fifteen - so there’ve been all kinds of ghosts floating around here. If you wanted to try the morphing you could pick up the chain - since right now I’m the last person. Or you could try it with one of the other morphs that have run out of contestants. Also we could try it sometime in offFAWM season, just pass a song back and forth with the “change half” direction.

I too know the "irrational dark cloud whispering that you'll never write another song." Fellow FAWMling looking forward to listening to your music

Thank you for your kind comments on "Now's the Time"! I appreciate your observations about how the piece builds - I honestly hadn't realized I was doing that!

[avatar]

haha " even the proper folks have to admit it." made me laugh! thanks :)

Thanks for the kind comments on "The Place Where I Begin"! Much appreciated, seriously. :) If I played any old-timey instruments I might try it!

Thanks, man, for taking a listen to That's What I Know and for your insightful remarks. I truly admire your keen ear and lyric sensibilities.

Hi, Lee. I'm so flattered by your remarks about Come To California. Not sure I could do that one again (or perform it) in a million years but it was so nice to get your generous feedback. Not a true story, btw--just channeling some imaginary other guy's heartache.

Hey, Lee--thanks so much for the really thoughtful comments about Memories of Me.

[avatar]

Thanks for your comments on Bird on a Wire. I think the Guilele is a kind of "branding" thing. It's the same as a guitele. Yes, the shruti has a foot pedal-and extra thing that I ordered for it. Glad you enjoyed the song!

Bless you, Lee. Thanks for digging into H-E-Double Hockey Sticks. Not a serious song, of course, but I was kinda proud of a few lines in there and you nailed them. Much obliged, man.

[avatar]

Thanks for the praise on the sealy Arfs, only The Man…well, The Man is B of a critic…:)
