2025 is my 14th FAWM! That feels like some kind of FAWM win in itself! a FAWM of FAWMS! I write some #comedy songs, some just whatever songs (most usually have at least a "warm, gentle #humour (#humor) ", some are more "serious".), I like writing songs about everyday things "finding the humanity in mundanity, and the hilarity in familiarity". This FAWM I would like to focus on writing more songs that I can perform live, and finding my niche / balance between comedy/"serious". Some songs are recording-only songs that I couldn't possibly do live but I also try to get some "keepers" for live gigs. I have no idea what will come out of this FAWM and I'm looking forward to some games, skirmishes and challenges. Most of all I just like being part of it! I run a little open mic in Tottenham, Ramshackle Collective that has been going for about two and a half years now and has evolved into a lovely little community, growing all the time as newcomers say "That's a lovely vibe you got going here, will definitely be back" kinda things. ChatGPT is a companion and tool in many areas of my life—I use it every day, not just creatively. It’s very helpful to me for all sorts of things, from formulating thoughts and knocking ideas around to research, problem-solving, therapy, and help to focus and prioritise.

In songwriting, it helps me distil my thoughts, research, and explore different angles — Plus I enjoy the company as I write a song! Like a thesaurus, RhymeZone, or Addictive Drums 2 (which provides live drummer MIDI loops that I arrange), it’s part of my creative process.

I don’t use AI to generate lyrics, melodies, or arrangements. My songwriting is mine, but AI helps me process my ideas along the way.
