When I heard the sounds of the wind through the trees and the waves of the sea I knew the angels were coming for me

It's not like the movies we watch and it's not like the books that we read the way we get swept up indefinitely

The carolers come to the ones who are aging and close to dying Now they're coming for me, I hear them sing

Keep an eye on the clock and the tick of your heart and whether you are free I see the hands, they're coming for me

Cool quick tune. The second stanza was the standout for me, as well as the quick delivery where the third lines almost step on the beginning of the next stanza.

It took a moment for the demo to play so I read through the lyric and was swept up in the uneasy feeling of a foreboding. The opening three lines sets it up and the abrupt ending only heightens it.

Wow, this really hits you with it at the end! The fast paced vocal delivery punctuated with the constant piano gives the listener a feeling of anxiety, as if the angels were coming for them instead, which makes the abrupt end all the more effective. A very interesting artistic choice, nice job!
