Forgot To Tell 'Em, Only One God c Mark Greenberg 2025

Egypt built the pyramids--they're still standing to this day Greeks they built the Parthenon--standing to this day (some of it) Romans spread out far and wide--built temples and the Appian Way Maoris they have seven gods--and Mt. Tanaki is a human being

The Aztecs had a feathered serpent god--he was one of many Atheists around the world , doing fine without any

I coulda told them, I shoulda told them I'm the only one god--but they seemed to be doing fine I shoulda told them, I coulda told them They were wrong, wrong, wrong I'm the only one god--but I took my time

So I told Abraham, I told Moses There's only one god and that's me And there's gonna be trouble, a whole lot of trouble In store for those who don't believe

Like the lyrics and the presentation. I'm a God guy too but I explore 'em all 'casue everybody got something to offer.
Thanks for your comments on "Samurai Sword". I a haiku nut and have done several songs using that tool. I spent my student days in Boston and love the place. Met my wife there. My people started off there in the beginning. It's always nice to get back

Love the message - delivered in such an easy but clever way. I dig the melody And “but I took my time” Very relatable song.

Cool guitar work! I bow down to you!

Absolutely love this! So laid back with a great feel but a great and powerful message. Love the way you weave the ideas. Great voice and I would happily listen to more.

I love the historical insight and the topical humor (does Mt. Tanaki now have to pay taxes?) And perhaps hearing some political overtones. (Though I might just be looking through the lens of an #epic hero in #mythology).

Nice write! The laid way back beat of the guitar suits the wry lyric perfectly.

Haha, I have questions: What did you do that made you forget to tell people you are a god? When will you tell them? I love the groove and the many-any rhyme.

Nice! Religion and Myth are certainly intertwined ideas. Nice take!

A very thoughtful lyric and you can't get much more epic than writing from the perspective of the Almighty! Excellent write 😊
