Liner Notes
So here I am. Yet another FAWM where I started with some needlessly complex instrumental. I think this took me close to 10 hours to write + record. Ok, to be fair, most of that was re-learning to play upright and mandolin... I haven't touched them in so long.
I think there's a ton more promise with the mandolin part. I barely know my scales any more so improv is pretty tough 😅. But that can be left for polishing at a later date.

Wow. This is really my jam. I was picking blueberries while listening to this unfold. That opening melodic line is golden and the way the whole thing just builds and builds. There’s some delightful little harmonic sunshine moments too. Wonderful!!

As I listen to this, I'm making a fresh batch of DudeFood(tm) for dinner. I love that I got up to stir it, sat back down, and I could've been listening to an entirely different track! How's your wrist after all that mando-tremolo? 😀

I'm always happy to hear your complex explorations. Nice change of time signature and pace. How do you memorize such a long song so you could track down the other instruments? Your playing is insane

you absolutely nailed the feeling of Quest accepted. It feels like I'm looking at the quest board and then about to go hunt some mythical monster. Heck of a way to start FAWM!

I wish I could respond to this in GIF. The way this carried on kind of chaotically and yet completely coherent, it’s like - the rabbit is being chased through the woods by a fox, leaping this way and that, through various passageways- and yet it absolutely knows where it’s going and where it will safely land. Sorry Fox, not today. No rabbit stew for you.
