Lyrics
My Time Machine
What would it be like if you could step into a time machine?
Just imagine.
Ch I can go r-e-a-l s-l-o-w Or crazy fast Predict the future Relive the past Lovin' the ride No matter how long it lasts In My Time Machine Time Machine Time Machine Havin' a blast.
Vs
I could see what I missed
Things that passed me by
That sweetest kiss
That made me cry
The games that I lost
And those that I won
Payin' the cost
For havin' too much fun
[Ch]
I could fall in love All over again Or see what happened To a long lost friend Connect the beginnings To the ends But I can't change the past To make amends.

This is a super response to the skirmish prompt! The lyrics make it easy to visualize you zipping around in your time machine - in fact, this would make a great video. Love that driving rock vibe!
I like the angle of endless possibilities and the high energy level to match. Some things in the lyrics and expression remind me of the Tubes. Nice one!
I'm glad you joined this skirmish! The accompaniment is really cool - I was definitely tapping my toes. The lyrics of the last verse really get me. 😭
Like KMFDM crossed paths with Bowie- I'm digging it. The lyrics are solid, good cadence and the all the effects are tasteful and well executed
Such true and inspiring lyrics. Words of wisdom to the young? Affirmations to the old?
Love this!!!!! Oh, all the things we could do again...or not! Love the talking heads kinda vibe in your vocals! Always admire your ingegration of synths and organic sounds. Great form in the arrangement and hook is stellar. That's why they call it a hook. It's in my brain on repeat! Excellent song JW!!!
