This Must Be Heaven

Skirmish: Heaven (@atornberg)

Liner Notes

Lyrics

Gently, as the waves crash along the coast And the day wades slowly and more thoroughly than most It's moments like these I can't help but raise a toast Because I fear this must be Heaven Sweetly, melodies of baby birds at play And the wind flows through as delicately made as Cloisonné It's memories like this that make me wanna stay Because I fear this must be Heaven

Carefully, I travel, seeking out forbidden seams Things might be too perfect for this not to be a dream But the only thing surrounding myself are endless seas And I fear this must be Heaven Worriedly, I stumble onto sands so non-chalant Have I kept myself awake when they sent me into the Jaunt A fate worse than Death itself could even think to wrought And I'll be stuck wishing this was Heaven?

Suddenly, the voice of my friends wake me up They're finally back from the store with booze and Solo cups It's so great to be surrounded by the ones that I love And I fear this must be Heaven Yes, I fear this must be Heaven

Excellent for audience participation. I particularly like the rather jarring phrase, "I fear this must be Heaven." With the happy sounds at the beginning, I was waiting for the "fear" part, which you delivered on in the second verse while still uplifting at the end.

Oddly strong Bright Eye's vibes here, which is a pipeline right to my heart. Well done!

I agree with the na na na's. The mood change with the second verse was wonderful.

Love the jaunty feel of this and your take on the prompt. This is such a singalong with those "na na na na's!"
