It's been a while since I just picked up my Strat & just started playing, letting my Muse have free reign to take the music in any direction she desires. You can certainly tell I'm rusty. This improv isn't as smooth as I can usually pull off. But that's ok. I have never sought perfection, since perfection itself is Truly unattainable. No, I only seek to capture a moment in time. To capture a feeling, a vision, an emotion, or possibly even a hope. I did that here, despite the blunders along the way. So, I count that as a success.
In the end, (pun intended, sorry 😊 ) this one touches on those topics that still haunt the depths of my soul. They always come out when I open myself up & free the chains I have placed upon them in order to walk through the chaos of the mundane. Yes, I have dæmons (don't we all?). And every once & a while I try to face them. This is one of those times. Though, this was a timid attempt, at best. Oh well, I still have plenty of time to wander through my Shadows…

Yup, let the demons out; show them that even though they bother you, and sometimes make you feel miserable, you're not afraid of them. Fight them with the sounds that your heart pours forth. Beautiful improvisation, one of those that makes darkness feel so comfortable. Only the ones who live with the shadows know...

Mesmerizing! I really missed your stuff during the off season! I love your vocals here, just so outstanding. The wailing weaving guitars are such a joy to listen to! Using the bread tag as a pick is super creative, I love the tone it gives. That last verse in the lyrics has so many great transitions, really well written. This is such a great song!
