Room For Yesterday

Skirmish: Everything is constantly ... (@robinleaf)Liner Notes
This is in response to the Skirmish "Everything Changes Constantly". Even though I'm late with it, it's still just a rough draft. I'm happy to hear any ideas for improvement.

Lyrics
I never believed in the Devil, but I still fall flat on my face. Woke to a sky I barely know. How did I get to this place? Familiar faces I hold on to, well they just slip away. Pages turning, Life in motion starting a new way today.
Memories lost to time time arranged but fade from mind. I moved here once. I once lived there, and the coffee cup has changed Is every ending just the start of something new to come? A world reborn with a new point of view? An new rythme on the drum?
Everything is changing, what was once is now undone. Breaking down the walls of today, is there any room for yesterday?
Maybe it's the Devil but then well maybe it ain't. But the rug gets pulled from me, whenever I try to restrain to catch my breath. To feel my feet. Just to let me hear my name and let me in on the stupid lousy game, maybe there can be a freezeframe.
In the silence, I feel a spark A quiet light in the dark. Maybe what we need is the space to fall, the chance to mark the seasons as they shift and the tides as they rise to their full height cause the stars still burn in the changing night.
Everything is changing, what was once is now undone. Breaking down the walls of today, is there any room for yesterday?
Seasons shift, the winds will rise, But stars still burn in changing skies. Hold on tight, or let it go— Either way, we’ll learn and grow.
Everything is changing, what was once is now undone. Breaking down the walls of today, is there any room for yesterday?

Some epic lyrics here Frank. I particularly like "Breaking down the walls of today, is there any room for yesterday?"
It feels both thoughtful and nostalgic, especially with the ukulele backing. I liked the phrase "what was once is now undone." The future always changes, but memories, in retrospect, change too.
I was thinking of you in the context of this song-everything changes but your profession is to freeze a moment in time and preserve our yesterdays. The lyrics really got me thinking.
"Everything is changing, what was once is now undone. Breaking down the walls of today, is there any room for yesterday?" This pair of lines captures so much of what is going on today - so thoughtful!
I really like these lyrics, and the contrast between the searching lyrics and the cheeky ukulele strumming. One detail that jumped out at me was the coffee cup having changed. Little things like that can really knock you off course unexpectedly. Thanks for joining my skirmish!
The lyrics are pretty cool. I like the chorus lyrics, and how the melody doesn't really resolve. I didn't hear a radical difference between this version and the newer one.
