Shatterings
NSFWLiner Notes
I'm not really too sure what to say about this song. It goes all over the place and its a bit edgier than what I'm used to. I did find myself playing guitar again on this one for another 12 seconds, HOWEVER it didn't take me 40 minutes to record this time so that's progress lol.
Also, the title for this song is a bit of a WIP so if you think of something cool please let me know in the comments. Enjoy!

Lyrics
And on that late November night I finally lost the will to fight Smiling ear to ear you told me everything I knew
Yearning for a quick descent As I question still my true intent We pledge ourselves to paths laid untrue
Here you and I lie as friends Here we lie now close as friends not strangers
Turning from the past I knew I had always dreamt and saw it through But now the feeling eats away inside
Abandonment and loss of faith I snap my head and jolt awake Realization hurls me into hell
Here we are as friends, not strangers Here we lie as friends, not strangers
Don’t say you love me now What are you supposed to be? I can’t even look at you My reflection’s all I see So fuck you, I hate you Pack your things and leave Take what’s a part of you That once belonged to me
Spots of snow reflect the lights As I walk alone these streets of night Sobbing prayers and songs lost on the wind
Suddenly the Spirit sings And so profound the warmth it brings Ensures that guilt surrenders to reprieve
Here you are now, just a man Here you are now as a man

Beautiful flow and words. Exciting and intriguing music. You sing so well. I have trouble understanding the story, but I thinks it’s about someone in a relationship that lacks integrity, who feels deeply guilty but then realizes he’s being human. So a healing message. I hope I’m not totally out to lunch. An alternative title could be “Reprieve.”
Nice!!! I love how free you are with the phrasing.
Really effective tracking on this song. You really brought the moodiness and did a lovely job on all instruments
