Morning Song

Liner Notes
I thought out this song, put it all together really, lying in my bed yesterday morning. It's the first outing for my new second hand Faith parlour guitar. Recorded directly into my phone so no bells and whistles...

Lyrics
This is my morning song This is my morning song I may sing it soft Or I may sing it strong This is my morning song
Today I went down to the sea Just my little puppy dog and me The birds were flying overhead The waves were rolling free So I sang my song out to the sea
I sang This is my morning song...
Today I went up the highest hill I had some city lungs to fill The snow had fallen overnight The air was cold and still I sang my song up to the hills
I sang This is my morning song..
This morning I was lying in my bed Crazy thoughts were spinning round my head Then I heard the birds outside The window where they fed They sang their morning song
They said This is my morning song...

Good write verse three is lovely, I like the notion of city lungs thanks for sharing
Oh how lovely! I love the images you use, making the sceneries unfold in front of my inner eyes!
Yay for phone recordings. I love the sweetness here (and how the song makes clear its plans from the beginning). The simple structure is effective; I was singing along with the chorus by the second time.
The third verse is great. Such great images it conjures. Also the puppy dog verse is so symphatetic, could not help but smile. Very innocent and honest sound. Works well.
