Government Cheese (Snippet)

Liner Notes
One of my stupid and/or brilliant ideas this year is to write a series of Snippets. These are random ideas that pop up based on a word, or a phrase, or whatever. Stuff that is catchy and fun, but in no way warrants a full song. In this case, it maybe warrants 21 seconds, which is where it's at now. I'm hoping this helps burn through my lyrical backlog of stuff that needs a home.
This is the third Snippet, a true story about the US government's cheese stockpile. Evidently, 1.4 billion pounds of are stored in some converted limestone caves in Missouri. This feel very "urban legend", but apparently it's a thing. And whether or not it's a thing, I want some. If we're gonna have an authoritarian hellscape, at least give us some cave cheese.
Musically, hey look! An organ! Three part harmony! An inverse Picardy third, if that's a thing! Look, there's only so much ya can fit in 21 seconds.

Lyrics
Government Cheese (I want my government cheese) Government Cheese (Gotta have my government cheese) There's a billion pounds of stockpiled Cheese under Springfield, Missouri Can I have some Government Cheese?

I wanted to say this track was cheesy, by dang it, it rocks! Love that organ and the authoritarian hellscape sounding ending. Do you know something the rest of us don't?
And now I’m hungry.
Goddammit now I want the whole song, especially the inevitable organ solo in the middle. I also want cheese, but that was true before I heard the song too.
I was grinning broadly before the end of the first bar. But that drop in to the minor key at the end does not bode well; is this story going to take an ominous turn? We need to know!
This is so much fun! If you gather enough snippets together you could do a fingertips esque type song (they might be giants)
Wow, I like the idea of using snippets to burn through idea fragments! This one is very listenable, @dasbinky If you choose to develop it, some rhyming and/or lines that don't end with "cheese" would really help me wanna push repeat, as the music and hooks are so catchy!
I gotta say, this is my favorite mix of all these! You joke about your ears, but I think they are only getting better brother! It's also possibly the most catchy. It's like if Guided by Voices had a sense of humor and fidelity.
