A song I wrote in 2017. I liked the verse part, but not the chorus part. In an attempt to overcome some writers block, I tried to rewrite it. I do think it has improved.

Chorus: (A) I need help (B) unravel this thread (C#) Right (B) off the (A) spool Keep our head above the water Don’t get sucked into the whirlpool (E) I can’t stop (B) this chaos from ruining (A) our world (E) Hold on (B) tight to me (A) girl
Second Verse: If I tried to climb Up the mountain To reach brave new heights
Is it my time to soar To the heavens Give me Brand new Sight (E) If I lost all balance And start (A) reeling I’d speak but have no words I don’t know If I’m falling or Flying with the birds

Right off the bat, dannnng! Love the intro riff. The lyrics are very compelling. Throughout the song, I kept thinking about what they might mean, and found the meanings layering with the music as the song built. Great vocals--I really enjoyed this one.
