Seagulls

Liner Notes
A piano and voice song (with a bit of cello). The piano came first played and then edited, which led to a vocal line. I sing nonsense sounds to a melody that feels right, then write lyrics to match the sounds of that gibberish.
This song is about raising a child in a place made worse by the actions of short-sighted men. The seasons don't care about politics.
Lyrics
[Verse 1] You were just a feather, When the weather broke the land, They don't talk about how, People understand,
Useless all this scheming, When the waters turned to stone, Being part of all these things, The seasons wouldn't know.
[Chorus] And I will break, another tear, To keep you out the way. I will drink, another sea, To get you out of here.
And I know I know.
[Verse 2] You will keep the summer, When the silky rivers flow, I will keep the winter, When the windows explode
But the seagulls may circle, But people decide, To gather together, And the longing survives,
[Chorus] And I will break, another tear, To keep you out the way. I will drink, another sea, To get you out of here.
And I know I know Oh I know.
[Chorus] And I will break, another tear, To keep you out the way. I will drink, another sea, To get you out of here.
And I know Oh how I know.

Nice tune, like the stripped down arrangement, piano and cello is always nice combination, pretty lyrics, what did you use for the vocals? Kits.ai? Ace Studio? or something similiar.. that tech is starting to get eerily good
Gorgeous. Beautiful lyrics, piano, and some fabulous chord changes!!
Ooh, there's some nice chord choices here and it's a beautiful sound. The cello is lovely too.
the piano in the opening is so warm and mellow and intimate—the lyrics are gorgeous... i love this one, thank you for sharing
