Like the finger picking style and guitar , breaks up the feelings and expressions., gives a bit of time to think about the situation. Very relatable and good song all around.

Nice and heartfelt. Also reminded me of Unhappy Anniversary by Louden Wainwright III. Smile and denial is a lovely and unexpected rhyme, good work!

A good take on a well known position. I lyrics are:

Musically the Bridge was awesome, really allows for the energy building into the last time through the chorus. Awesome 👏 👏 👏

This is a fantastic song, one of the best I've read today. I really like your writing style of short n sweet and to the point, while also showing in a subtle way ... damn, she's the one who got away. The chorus is perfection.
