Unit of Measure

Liner Notes
Writing a #lovesong is hard for me because it's one of the very few things in my life that I don't try to analyze. So how do I break it into its aspects? How do I measure it?
But this is #Valentine's Day. The phrase that came to mind is from The Beatles: "The love you take is equal to the love you make." OK, love == love...I can work with that.
I wasn't sure whether I had a song here or only a fragment, but since I can't think of anything else to say, I'm going with 'song'.
Lyrics
The only measure of love is love Not count or breadth or degrees To speak of how much is a misleading thing Like judging the weight of a breeze.
A sentiment such as, “I love you a ton,” Might do for a Valentine’s card But has as much meaning in everyday life As, “I love you a meter (or yard)”
Love fills each vessel, no matter the size, And covers, completely, each space Love permeates matter, extends throughout time If love lives at all in a place
The only measure of love is love Not count or breadth or degrees To speak of how much is a misleading thing Like judging the weight of a breeze.

Fabulous love song and love the lyrics and feel. I love it!
Oh, you got me teary-eyed. Such sweet and gentle instrumental accompaniment with such a nice little rhythm. Judging the weight of a breeze was a stellar line. I just love the whole sentiment in this song.
I don’t usually comment on my husband’s songs but have to thank him for writing this lovely love song to me! Never thought about the weight of a breeze!
Oh Phil, this is sheer beauty and touched me very much!
Beautiful. Love all of it, but 'judging the weight of a breeze' is a really cool image.
