Lyrics

Take Your Time

You've got the right to be wrong You can show weakness and be strong It's alright to be tired the whole day Just admit that sometimes you don't know the way

Just give yourself a little bit more rope before you put a noose around your throat Take the time you need to breathe and cope The highway is not always the best road

You must not always be your very best You will survive if you flunk a test You are worthy and don't matter any less if now and then you are or make a mess

Just give yourself a little bit more rope before you put a noose around your throat Take the time you need to breathe and cope Sometimes there is no movement on the road

There will always be another chance to grow Just accept that some things you will not know You are precious and loved no matter what You are you and that is worth a lot

Just give yourself a little bit more rope before you put a noose around your throat Take the time you need to breathe and cope If one path is blocked look for another road

Take the time you need to breathe and cope

Such great advice! Very strong writing for a skirmish.

I like the message about not being perfect. Really good way to play the skirmish. Pragmatism over perfectionism is a reminder coukd standbys hear.

Some great advice in your lyric. I work with some younger folks and my 2 sons are in their mid-20's so I know what a lot of that generation is overly sensitive, to put it mildly. Nice skirmishing.

There are so many great lines in this. My daughter needs to hear this. She is 26 and sometimes seems convinced that everything goes wrong for her… and that her generation are doomed to witness the end times.

I had guessed from your accent that you were German and that made me even more impressed. It is not easy to write in another language… as I know too well. My songs in Catalan are often greeted by “It’s OK, but it doesn’t sound like it was written by a native speaker”. 🙄
