Stormy Awhile

Liner Notes
We had a snow day which turned a 3-day weekend into a 5-day weekend. I loved it. But I used to mainline The Weather Channel as a kid, and I grew up in a land of freak thunderstorms, and sometimes I miss it.
Lyrics
All the snow is gone It didn’t last too long I got what I wanted A weekend prolonged And at least one more song
This weather’s so mild The slightest deviation and we all go wild Meanwhile my soul is a thunderstorm Wish I could rattle the rafters for a while
Pick up steam across the Plains Wash out roads with my ferocious rains Watch them tremble as I Throw down ice from the sky Before it’s sunny again
This climate is temperate I don’t think that I’m meant for it Plenty of time later to smile I just want to be stormy awhile
Comments
Sweet melody and vocals! I really the line: "Plenty of time later to smile I just want to be stormy awhile" Nicely done!
This song is all about the PNW! Lovely.
Oh this is beautiful - like a snowy, indoors beach-song. Also, temperate and meant-for-it is an EXCELLENT rhyme
