Turn Off All the Noise
Skirmish: TURN OFF ALL THE NOISE (@corinnecurcio)Liner Notes
Lyrics
Turn off the Christmas carol lights Turn off the singing elves Most of all I beg you Turn off Carol of the Bells
Turn off that blaster game That I know you like to play I want to hear the rooftop sounds Of reindeer and a sleigh
There’s a reason this Is supposed to be a silent night We might hear the jingle jangle Of Santa’s sleigh in flight
Turn off the blender Quiet down the broom Turn off everything that’s Making noises in the room
Turn off the karaoke set Turn off the microphone Santa doesn’t need the noise To tell him that we’re home
There’s a reason this Is supposed to be a silent night We might hear the jingle jangle Of Santa’s sleigh in flight
Turn off the stove alarm Turn off the ceiling fan Just this once turn off Christmas in a can
Turn off the robot vacuum Turn off all the noise I want to hear the sound of Santa And his sack of toys
There’s a reason this Is supposed to be a silent night We might hear the jingle jangle Of Santa’s sleigh in flight
There’s a reason this Is supposed to be a silent night We might hear the jingle jangle Of Santa’s sleigh in flight

"there's a reason this is supposed to be a Silent Night" is such a good line - feels like the cry of parents the world over! Really nicely done!
What a clever tie in of the prompt to Silent Night!! It is amazing how much noise we live with. Your lyrics are so compelling and take me back to the night before Christmas kind of feel. Great skirmish!
Completely unexpected and wonderful take here; Christmas really is one of the noisiest holidays, isn't it? It's a lot. Very well done!
Really creative take on the prompt! Listening for Santa and his reindeer amid all the noise, sweet.
Very cool take on the prompt. Love "there's a reason this is supposed to be a silent night"
This is great, and really hits at not just Christmas, but the fact that true meaning behind things, often get lost or die, after getting buried in a sea of noise and distractions.
These are lovely lyrics. I like the take you took on taking away noise and clutter from the holidays
Brilliant -- "Santa doesn’t need the noise/To tell him that we’re home" is my personal favorite line, but the whole thing is terrific. I wasn't expecting to find a Christmas song in my FAWM stream today, but I'm so glad I came across this one!
