Artificial Gravity

Liner Notes
There's probably a sensible in-universe explanation for this (okay, I looked it up but I wrote the song anyway) but it has always amused me that the artificial gravity always seems to work perfectly in sci-fi spaceships. Also every planet has the same gravity and an atmosphere breathable by humans and spaceships always seem to be oriented the same way.
Honestly, I love Star Trek :).
My favourite artificial gravity related one was Picard being stuck in a falling lift with some kids and I was just shouting "turn the gravity off!"
Anyway. It's more #ukulele #nerdfolk with some #synth and som free sound effects from https://pixabay.com/sound-effects/search/space%20battle/
Lyrics
Carefully conserving our fuel We're cruising at warp factor five Heading for systems undiscovered Worlds on which no human has set eyes
We'll beam a team to the surface We believe they'll breath just fine Drop them in the middle of the city With a phaser and minimal supplies
Meanwhile up in orbit, we are watching on the screen Sitting at the console it is all condition green Replicators functioning, the oxygen is good And artificial gravity is working as it should
Now the away team might be in a bit of trouble They're asking us if we can be prepared But there's interference jamming our transporters And we're wondering what's going on down there
Something tells me we might not be wanted There's a fleet of battle cruisers on our tail We had a blast across the front deflector And nobody's responding to our hails
Now the ship is shaking can we take another hit We'd fasten our seatbelts if we had them on the bridge Computer's not responding and we know we're in a fight But the artificial gravity is perfectly alright
We've had a hull breach on deck 37 The oxygen is slowly leaking out The shields are down the engines losing power Our survival's in considerable doubt
[Adim7...]
There's redshirts on the surface that we could just leave behind It's time to turn and run but the warp has gone offline We're running out of options and we're running out of time But the artificial gravity is working fine
Consoles are exploding, dodge the flying sparks Red alert is flashing and the bridge is going dark But we know which is the ceiling, and which way is the floor The artificial gravity will work forever more

The red shirts don’t expect to be saved! Yes, I always found it unlikely that there would be simliar gravity and breathable air on so many planets. And that so many aliens looked like humans except for their heads! Thanks for making me think about the gravity. I am a fan too. Everything doesn’t have to,be logical.
Ha ha ha! You're so right, they NEVER have artificial gravity problems. And the redshirts always die. 😄 This was so much fun!
Very good, it’s tv mate ha ha! You can have artificial anything! What a journey! Reads just like a Star Trek episode oooo I hear a change!
This is a really really fun journey. Brings back a lot of warm memories and it never dawned on me just how magic the artificial gravity was in that IT ALWAYS WORKED.
Had a smile on my face the whole listen!
I really found the composition delightful, particularly the synth(?) part that did the job of the flute section. Pretty amazing how you got a full orchestra sound with a synth and several ukes! The sound effects were a nice surprise :)
