Paper Lanterns

Liner Notes
This is another title prompt. I knew from the title I wanted to kind of be about remembering the ones we've lost.
I've had my own loss with my son passing when he was 7 and in the last year or two I've had friends who experienced similarly deep losses as well. So this is for me and them. To carry on with living the lives the ones we loved didn't get to have.
I think the song could use a bridge, but I limited myself to two days time working on it and didn't come up with one. But I think this one will get revisited later this year.
Lyrics
It always comes to me in dreams All the things I’ll never see Not ever again, not ever again The way you laugh That smile you had No not again, not ever again
If I’m going to light a candle for all to see Why not ignite a flame deep inside of me A living paper lantern to your memory A paper lantern for every one to see
It always comes to me When I’m least expecting Every time, yea every time A little smile just for me When I think about what could be Every time, every single time
If I’m going to light a candle for all to see Why not ignite a flame deep inside of me A living paper lantern to your memory A paper lantern for every one to see
Guitar sounds nice and lush - "If I’m going to light a candle for all to see Why not ignite a flame deep inside of me" is a lovely thought. Pacing is perfect.
