I Love You Long Time

by @rshakesp

Liner Notes

OK number 9 in my series '12 short nonsense songs about love'. This one is about the online bride - make of it what you will. (No breathing apparatus was used in the making of this song)

Lyrics

I found you online Exclusively mine And clearly you cared so much A slice of the divine Impatient to feel my touch You’re reaching out to me Forget the such and such Embrace the ecstasy

My love I can’t wait My senses can’t anticipate A girl quite this fine I love you long time

You stayed for a week We did everything to avoid sleep We ate, we drunk, we played My endorphins distinctly raised Then suddenly you left A sickly mother needs her daughter at her breast And you promise you’ll be back If I can help with the fare to pay for that

This is kind of hysterical! I really love the first two lines. And the ending is so brutal. Great chorus, love the chords you're using as well!

A second song of yours that I've stumbled on with a really cool chorus. I want the loooooooong time to last - which is the point right?

I like the jazzy chords a lot. Cool how looooooong the "long" at the end was. Funny idea for a lyric.

A pretty great melody and cool, cool guitar. What's not to love? It's a keeper!

So cool... Maybe I've had too much bourbon, but I love it! Wish it was about 10 minutes longer!

The beat gives this a nice 80’s adult contemporary vibe almost verging on yacht rock. The chorus is a nice surprise and pretty catchy
