Cold Enough For Ya?

Skirmish: Cold Enough For You? (@metalfoot)Liner Notes
I live in a temperate rainforest now, but I was born and raised in Wisconsin, so I get it.
Lyrics
Step outside and you start to wheeze Inside your nose your snot starts to freeze Is it cold enough for you?
Skin exposed for a minute or two Will turn hot and itchy, black and blue Is that cold enough for you?
We ask the same question every year About this time it’s like “why do we live here” But before we know it, it melts away And we save the question for another day Cold enough for you?
Your coffee freezes into a hockey puck You lick a flagpole and your tongue gets stuck Cold enough for you?
The world looks covered in frosty whipped cream When people ask “how are you?” you say “living the dream” Cold enough for you?
We ask the same question every time This many degrees below zero should be a crime But before we know it, spring returns And we forget instantly because we’ll never learn Cold enough for you?

That was fast! And packed in loads of clever rhymes, rhythms and strumming. Cold weather seems to bring out the creative in everybody!
This is fantastic in every way! The whole vibe, the fast paced, witty lyric, the casual offhand vocal delivery, right down to the brrr intro and outro. Soooo good!!!!
Snappy write and just as so in song, @carleybaer ! Fab mix of talking along with that singing aspect and rockin' guitar play in this "cold" entertaining diddy!
I love everything possible about this song. I have no idea what genre this is, but I want to copy (i.e. modify it in my own way).
Yes! It is cold enough for me. Greetings from your old stomping grounds. Wonderful acoustic-one-take. Great energy, great humor (you gotta laugh... what else can you do?) Right now sitting in a balmy 5 degrees... minus 1 windchill. We miss you Carley. Good job!
So. Yeah. I understand this song. I live it. WINTER. It really is cold enough for me.
Fantastic intro - emotive interjections speak louder than words. I know that they're words, too, but bear with me.
This is brilliant, musically and lyrically. It's got so much energy and sass. The run-on-lines are an absolute treat; this is an ass-kicking narrator. You delve into a lot of specifics, which gives the song bundles of personality. 'Coffee freezes into a hockey puck' is my favourite; it gives it some tasty local flavour.
I'm impressed at the skill and speed at which you deliver some of the lines, particularly at the end. You manouevre across the syllables with great deftness, like a navigator who is the veteran of a thousand naval battles.
I love this song! Such great imagery like your coffee freezing into a hockey puck and the world looking covered in frosty whipped cream. The end tied it up nicely and was very relatable about how when spring comes we almost immediately forget how cold the winter was.
LOL at the "Brrrr" opening, and it just gets better going along. Living the dream in the land of frosty whipped cream. Great vocals and strumming - energetic and a good listen. Love that rockabilly guitar!
