A Ripple of Goodwill

Liner Notes
This is a throwaway song I wrote in about half an hour. The lyrics come from things on my wall: a religious magnet, my to do list, and some fortune cookie fortunes. I didn't mean for this to be a religious song but I guess it sort of turned out that way. #piano #onetake
Lyrics
Today might be enormous Full of misery and regret Today might make you nervous Who knows how bad it can get
I hope tomorrows kindness will make a ripple of goodwill I expect the unexpected and embrace adventure too
Today it's up to you To make the peacefulness you're looking for And let the love you feel today Heal all wounds and scars
So work on writing your bio And fix your posture too And be still And know that I am god
You say this is a throwaway, but I love these lyrics and the chord progression. It's really cool that "peacefulness" is the word you highlight with that one chord. Not trying to write religious songs and then writing a kind of religious song is something that happens to me too haha. That last stanza is so good! Really nice juxtaposition of the big and small.
