Blackened Heart

Liner Notes
#gothic #vampirelovesong Not a hard one to explain this - I came up with a chord progression, thought 'That sounds a bit gothic', then started singing some lyrics about 'I give my blackened heart to you', thought it sounded like a love song a vampire might sing, and then the rest of the song pretty much wrote itself..
Lyrics
I've slept a 1000 years Inside my own prison made of stone But now, as I rise, I find There's a space beside my throne
Each I night, i roam this land For I've a kingdom to subdue But still, despite the years, I yearn To give my blackened heart to you
For though, I want for nought And I, am the master of this land But still, I find I long TO feel your pulse beneath my hand
And so, I come to you By sea, in a box that's filled with dirt And i think of you each time That I cause more pain and hurt
And now my ship draws near I long to see your sweet face again For eternity is long But I could bear it with a friend

So conceptual!!! I adore the story - and your deeper vocals hit hard
Love that rumbling bass line immediately. I want to hear Bill skarsgaard sing this in his Count Orlok baritone. Very moody and goth!
Witches to vampires now! Where next! The delivery matches up to your liners and the music! Slightly eerie slightly sad! Really good again!
