Just want to play outside

Lyrics

It’s always sadder if it rains on a Saturday You’ve been waiting the whole week long When we were young, there was no difference Whether it rained or it stayed dry Always just wanted to play outside

Before the days of endless distraction Before everyone had their own phone Before the online life and opinions of strangers Before we were old enough to decide We just wanted to play outside

We didn’t need a lot Some friends and space to roam Don’t go too far, staying close to home We’d play along just for the ride So long as we could play outside

On a Saturday, don’t matter if it’s raining Just want to play outside, on a saturday

I love this. It is such a great song, just a great idea. Makes me really nostalgic. The recording came out great, vocals and guitar so clear and they go together so well. One of my favorites here, I think, this overall idea is just so relatable for me, hits close to home.
