That dream of permanence has driven so much of human endeavour over the millennia. I appreciate this lyric a lot! And the music carries it along well.

I really like your singing style -- reckless abandon and an urgency to say what you have to say! And you have a lot to say -- these words are so meaningful and sincere! The contrasting part near the end ("Fleeting ... "etc) is very effective. Nice work! #tit4tat

i love the way you structured this. The repetitions reinforce the permanence that is so sorely missed in the lyrics. The slightly uptempo feel also feels detached, as would be appropriate for this type of song. This one made me check the ground beneath my feet. It did feel fleeting for a second.
