06 Courage to Disappoint

Liner Notes
This year's ambitious project: "Write and compose 12 songs in the style of 1980's R.E.M., and try to make them sound as finished as possible, although a touch of lo-fi is perfectly fine. Present them as an album."
We used an AI tool to convert piano riffs into guitar riffs, beef up the backing tracks and convert our own less-than-adequate vocals to something more pleasant to the ears, but all lyrics, melodies and riffs are our own.
Lyrics
Were the Beatles not that good Did Paul McCartney wish he could Stuck in a loop of knock-on-wood With the courage to disappoint Courage to disappoint
Was Neil Armstrong not that cool When he stepped down on the Moon Did he feel like a damn fool With the courage to disappoint Courage to disappoint
We’re mostly little people In tiny little worlds Tiny little boys and girls And we talk a big game To try to make a name But always stay the same, like we prefer
Florence might have been a killer The Eagles had a lot of fillers Hitchcock made some boring thrillers But the courage to disappoint Courage to disappoint
Fit me to the frame Hallowed be my name No more clouded Or feeling crowded In a blame-game gone insane
Janis only reached 27 Sings duets with Kurt in heaven While Amy and Jim talk to Lennon They had the courage to disappoint Courage to disappoint
style of 1980's R.E.M--nailed it especially like the lyrics
