Nearly everything I've posted for #FAWM has its roots months-to-years before the start of February - the exceptions have been sketches (https://write.fawm.org/songs/305526) and dickarounds (https://write.fawm.org/songs/310619) - but then last night, I ran a quick voice memo to get down the chord progression and a hum-thru of the vocal line, then wrote 2/3 of the lyrics in bed. Got up this morning, finished the lyrics, laid down the guitar, vocals, drums and piano, and here we are, less than 24 hours from inception to post.

I feel like a real-deal FAWMer now, finally in the spirit of things.

Oh also! Because so many of the songs I've posted have their roots in the deep, deep past, they've largely been about women from that same deep, deep past; it occurred to me I've never written a song about/for my wife, and well ... now I have.
