I once saw you

Lyrics

I once saw you in the corridor You smiled at me and I wanted more I’ve ever been a great orator You made my heart sing like a chorister

I once heard you in a crowded mall
Your voice thrilled me, made me feel six feet tall You hit my life like a wrecking ball No longer would I feel so small

I can’t hope to describe your face I have aphantasia you see But there was something though it’s hard to place It spoke volumes to me

We’re together now and it’s all fine Since the day we met, I hoped you’d be mine And though we’re living on the breadline We’ve got each other, our hearts are entwined

I once saw you in a corridor You smiled at me and I wanted more

I really enjoyed the lyrics. I misheard one line and thought you said “I can’t hope to strike your face”. And that was interesting lol. Overall, it’s a nice tune. I can hear the rest of the band joining in.
