Somebody Else

Liner Notes

When I first started this one I went, “ Whew, this tune’s worth will be to just add a 12th song to my list.” Happily, it turned out a little better than I thought it would. But I don’t know by how much, lol. But that’s the beauty of stickin’ with a song to completion.

Lyrics

I never understood what was wrong with my feelings I was true to my own I know you really love when we dance on the ceiling But you never let me come down You look at me and tell me to get it together I’ve answered each bell I’ve got something that might be the answer I’ll find somebody else

I was just a young thing Didn’t have a clue about life Until you showed me I’m still a young thing But I’ve got a clue about life Nobody owns me I suspect you don’t care that I’m leaving How can I tell You’re already looking around at some sweet things To find somebody else

I’ve got something that I couldn’t learn From playing video games safe at home I hope you’re really proud of me, baby I figured this out on my own

I’m looking forward to being with someone Who really knows me and treats me well I’ll always thank you for making me want that special somebody else That special somebody else

I really like the groove of this, Jeff. The strong drum backbeat and the phrasing of the lyrics make for a song that makes me bop my head here a bit. And cool story to the lyrics. Nice.
