#skirmish #retro #girlwithpiano #lovesong #onetake ugh this was so hard!! But I finished recording it exactly at 10EST... This is about my husband who is the most complex, flawed and wonderful person I know. I spent 10 minutes writing a list of all the things about him I love and can't stand 😂
This is my first time TRULY doing one take so there are some bumps here and there but trying to respect the time limit and also just accept where a song is at. Lots I DONT like about this, but I definitely like my hook, and the chorus in general musically... and kind of think I like the verse. Will definitely play around with this and try to make it something legit ;)

Real real talk. I like them chord changes too. Would love to hear a sequel song about loving yourself from the inside out. Or the outside in, or some other combination of those words. Great tune!

Oh, it’s so difficult to sing and play a new song piano at the same time isn’t it?!? I don’t have that so much at guitar (the little I play 😄). Do you recognise that? I wonder why.

Chuck that imposter syndrome out the window! - your songs are great. Hooky, fab piano playing, great vocals, interesting honest lyrics. This is not the first of your songs I've listened to and this is another really good one. :-)

Oooh nice one! I love the fact that you mention positive and negative things, as that is what love is... accepting one another flaws and all. Your lyrics made me smile and your music made me dance (a bit - I'm at the office, can't go all out.. lol). Great skirmish!

So this does sound like a work tape but the performance is good and the song shines brightly even in its work clothes. A dang good melody, I like the piano. The lyric is great, a real love, not put on a pedestal. I just listened to a song this evening (I think by lizandthelovelies) that said, basically, true love was loving the whole person, flaws and all. (poor paraphrase.) I think this hits that same theme in a lovely and uplifting way.
