My kids (7 and 9) came up with the title, chorus, and concept, and sang on it - I just helped with the rest.
Lyrics
December ‘72: The last Apollo crew saw something Mortals weren’t meant to see It changed theology All known cosmology That’s why they never went back But the truth was leaked
It was a Butt cheeks heaven on the moon Butt cheeks heaven in the moon Butt cheeks heaven on the moon Butt cheeks heaven in the moon
It turns out when you die Your butt and soul say “bye” And your cheeks head on out for space The sprout wings and take flight To earth’s biggest satellite Where they play harps in sacred grace
[Hallelujah, Hallelujah Butt cheeks heaven on the moon]
Butt cheeks heaven on the moon Butt cheeks heaven in the moon Butt cheeks heaven on the moon Butt cheeks heaven in the moon

Lol it sounds like you had so much fun creating this. What a catchy chorus!
Perchance is inspiration drawn from the “Hey Siri play ‘buttcheeks’ “ classic so often gracing the airwaves in my house? I do believe it is called “Buttcheeks Buttcheeks Buttcheeks”. Inspiration or not, this is heavenly and my seven year old particularly loved it and was clapping along by the end. And promptly asked why he didn’t get to write any songs in February. Clearly a missed opportunity! Really liked this one as a parent and appreciator of the Captain Underpants vein of humor and so nice you got your kids involved!
