Lyrics
HOW COULD IT BE
How could it be She’s still not over him How could it be That she’s still in love with him I’ve done everything I can How could it be She’s still not over him
Don’t get me wrong we have some good times But there are days I can see it in her eyes We’re talking and laughing enjoying ourselves But her eyes they look right through me Like she’s seeing someone else
How could it be She’s still not over him How could it be That she’s still in love with him I’ve done everything I can How could it be She’s still not over him
I don’t know how much more I can take I’m trying to hold on but my heart’s about to break Sometimes I feel the distance even when I hold her close I guess it’s not her fault She’s still haunted by his ghost
I can’t believe After he treated her so wrong My mind can’t conceive That her flame could burn so strong But there’s just no denying That he tortures her heart still I guess when it comes to misery Some never get their fill
How could it be She’s still not over him How could it be That she’s still in love with him I’ve done everything I can How could it be She’s still not over him

I love when orphaned lyrics find their music during FAWM, and this one is a beauty. The lines "But her eyes they look right through me | Like she’s seeing someone else" are just devastating in their truth. Lovely picking on the guitar to back up the perfectly sorrowful melody. Well done!
