a culmination of sorts. the world is ending. family and community are more important than ever. there's a war. i don't know when or if it will actually happen. but i can imagine it. and that's scary in itself.

Lyrics

under the armory down through the tunnels towards their fortresses Spewing all their hatred

withstand passive and not so passive aggressions taste the blood on your lips and bark the hurt from your lungs

declare the martial-est law “this is our house now” oh how the dipshits are falling

it’s idiocy it’s complacency it’s a delicacy when you taste it we’re just trying to be free

Oh Oh Oh

i tell the generals in their cardboard houses take the money bags and dump them they’re no longer our problem

stating orders to the infantry of our friends and family

we never wanted this life for us we’re doing it for cause they’re saying we do it just because

Oh Oh Oh

we barrel on through the night make sure we still have houses even if it’s the third ditch on the left

it’s post-modern-apocalyptic call it post-apologetic i’m preparing for the worst again

trade your ammo to the dentist he’ll make sure we have our teeth in and then we’ll kick their teeth in

This feels world weary in just the right way. I'm preparing for the worst again right alongside you. That dentist lyric kicked my teeth in, then I popped them back in to get out there and kick their teeth in with you! Thanks for writing this song.

There's a delicacy to the vocal that somehow makes the lyric more effective to me. The doubled ooh's are very, very effective. This seems an almost diary entry before going out into a post-modern-apocalyptic world. And that's a very effective ending, too. Building as it does.

This song touches very deeply in anticipation what can happen in the years to come. Loved the 'tired' vocals especially. Thank you!
