As so many other songwriters I couldn't help let the current world situation influence this song, so I wrote "to get rid of fanatics, politicians, billionaires" in my first draft. But for one thing that had too many syllables and also was far too unspecific, there are some politicians who try to do good, after all. And secondly I want to write filk songs which means in its basic (at least to me) songs in the Science Fiction or Fantasy genre. The new wording makes it better to fit the bill, but still brings the point across, I think. Also, I might have listened to too many HFY! stories lately.

I would really appreciate alines who get rid of unhinged evil people - and billionaires - then left peacefully. I don’t think that’s how it will work out. They would probably see all humans as unhinged, eliminate us and leave the dolphins in charge. Also a decent outcome I suppose, if they kill painlessly.

Solid refrain. Seems like we all collectively gravitated towards the same topic. Run run run, earth is no fun is almost Seussian in its cadence. Nice use of repetition for the going to get the gun as well. Leave us alone on planet Dirt!

Great track. Embodies the dichotomy of hoping for alien intervention and fearing alien intervention. If they're giant cat aliens, I don't care what they do, but I hope they take me back to their planet as a human pet (as long as I can also bring my cat).

These are great lyrics! The "if" section is strong - go and get my gun ...you better run. Especially liked "Earth is no fun." No, it's not fun at this moment, it's pretty appalling. Good skirmish!
