Convenience

This was supposed to be for a skirmish, but the writing and recording ran WAY long and the demo was terrible so I set it aside and came back to it.

Lyrics

Anything you need
From wherever you are No mountain is too high
No distance is to far

Everything you want
Just a click away
Do you think about the price you pay

It’s so easy when you’re able to look down At somebody else to do the work
Someone to boss around

At your convenience
That’s why they’re there
For your convenience Your only care

So nice to live At the top of the heap Taking everything that you can keep Get it quick and find out Nothing really lasts Burn through all the treasure just to build a pile of trash

Is this even living, when there’s nothing at the end No thought about the impact As we overextend

For the convenience Get it on demand So much convenience It’s out of hand

You can have two of the three
Low cost, speed, and quality
Bleeding out and sucking dry
For garbage piled up to the sky

At least it was convenient That’s why we pay It’s so convenient Piss it all away

Ooh...this is so catchy and hard-charging...and, of course, the lyric really cuts to the core. It is out of hand! People used to have trouble getting stuff...now they have a hard time getting rid of it. Nice little solo, too

This is THE protest song for the Temu/Amazon/AliExpress/TikTok/etc generation. Wow.
