I Wish I Wasn't Awake
NSFWLiner Notes
I used a Boss Super Octave OC-3 for the bass, Nobels ODR-1 on guitars, Sonic Cake Levitate reverb and Boss DD-8 Delay. I changed from an M-Audio Sputnik to a TLM-103 which seems to work pretty good for my vocals.
Lyrics
it’s been a helluva a day all i’ve seen is red i shoulda rolled on over and played dead i shoulda rolled on over and played dead
i wish i wasn’t awake i wish i wasn’t awake i wish i wasn’t awake i wish i wasn’t awake
it’s been a helluva day i lost my brain i shoulda stopped my mind for once this time
i wish i wasn’t awake i wish i wasn’t awake i wish i wasn’t awake i wish i wasn’t awake i wish i wasn’t awake
when i opened my eyes i shoulda’ drawn the blinds blankets over my head yeah!
i wish i wasn’t awake i wish i wasn’t awake i wish i wasn’t awake dumb. i wish i wasn’t awake fuckin’ dumb. i wish i wasn’t awake so fuckin’ dumb. i wish i wasn’t awake i’m so fuckin’ dumb.

This robot rocks ! I like the mechanical flawless rhythm section. And the slightly agressive and rusty lead guitar.
I love everything about the guitar here. Very nice riffs.
Relatable song. I'm digging the echoes on the guitar and vocals. It feels punk and surf at the same time. Great groove too.
Very catchy riff and rocking groove! The vocal effects really do work well for this style. I love the repeated chorus, a very punk thing as is the loudness. Conjures some of the 70's garage rock to mind, which I am a big fan of.
a full-throttle dive into headbanging depression
This song 100% speaks to my mood today. Great work with the recording. I love the overlapping vocals at the end, that's a great tension builder.
I'm really digging this one. I just wrote an(other) insomnia tune and then I saw this title and couldn't resist. Then I get this rocking piece of candy.
Whoa dude this kicks ass. I love the ascending and descending within the chord progression. It’s punch rock a billy that just punches you in the gut and doesn’t give two fucks about it. Nice!
That bass riff is so deliciously filthy. Really enjoyed this garage-psych trip! Thanks for inviting us
Damn that's good! I like the production, and I used to have one of those OC3's!
That's a great groove. The cleanish guitars piercing through the fuzz riff is a nice touch!
Those 'Rock Hands' being put to great use here!
Hell yes I love the energy in this. Such a nice combo of dry and slap-back and reverb in this, makes for a focused sound but full of character along with the drive in the guitar etc.
Great playing too!
Enjoyed this.
Awesome guitar riff driving the song. Plenty of drive in general .... and some wicked guitar sounds throughout. Cool solo to finish. Enjoyed that.
Another great title, love the arrangement & recording!
