Inside you, inside me

Skirmish: Throwback Thursday - Old ... (@dudachris)

Liner Notes

#skirmish #one-take #guywithguitar Interesting prompt. I found a pretty confused lyric from a long time ago which I don't think I ever used, tidied it up a bit and did a quick recording. Makes not a lot of sense but was fun to do

Lyrics

I saw a starfish escaping from view I saw a starfish and it looked like you I thought I saw a moonbeam, deep inside your heart It faded when the daylight was about to start

Whatever lives inside your head, Can prevent you from feeling dread Capture your soul, clean your disease, Looking for someone to set you free

Roaming the earth, the seven seas The answer lies inside of me What will it take to be free You’ll have to wait and see Inside you, inside me Inside you, inside me

I like the hookiness of the "Inside you, inside me." I think it works really well. This is a soft song that slips sideways into my consciousness. Nicely done!

Very nice! With the impressionistic, stream-of-consciousness approach, I think I’m hearing threads of 1970s American rock, but with a more modern perspective that is outside that box.

This is fun, cute and whimsical 🙂 Trying to piece together the not making sense toward the end I was reminded of the first line of a song, Sixpence None the Richer I think

"There is freedom within, there is freedom without"

Ooh fun and curious lyrics, like you have X-ray vision but only at night!
