I Got Knocked Out (By Goblins)
Liner Notes
Sometimes I feel like my songs are too dense with words and end up suffering in length. Inspired by the simplicity of Timbre Timbre's song I Am Coming To Paris (To Kill You), I wanted to write something with only a handful of lyrics that comes out over 2 minutes. This kind of forced me to plan my song's structure ahead of time, which I don't normally do. Also funny that I've written more in the liner notes than in the actual lyrics. Lyrically based on something that happened in a #DnD session, when I got knocked out (by goblins).

This is great, it captures some quintessential D&D shenanigans. I love that there's a little bit of a weary edge to your voice when you start in on "We gotta get a healer before the next fight" the first time, which makes it that much more relatable haha
