My love song to meta.
Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Threads, Whatsapp, Messenger.. Meta is up all of our butts. It likely knows more about you than anyone else - including yourself, which I find a bit creepy. Sometimes for me, meta can almost feel like an abusive relationship that I am trapped in. Anyone else? Just me?
Because of the lyrical theme, I felt like a very #dark #synthpop or like #darkwave vibes and glitchy #robot vocals were in order.
Also, to my watchlist/followers, I realize I'm taking you (and me) on a crazy roller coaster of various genres and instrumentation styles this year. 😂 Making cohesive artist albums has never been a strength of mine, so I guess this FAWM is no exception.

Ok so I came to your page from the RC thread, then picked this after seeing the collab version and after reading the comments, I had to listen before hearing the collab! This was so cool, I love your melodies and the lyrics were so creative as well. Idk if you know who Poppy is, but this gives me early Poppy vibes for sure. You def got the dark wave / synth pop going on so you were spot on there :). Great gating on the synths in here and the vocal effects too. Really well done. You've got a really strong vocal!

As a long-time meta anti who never joined facebook to begin with I can get behind this big time. the dark synths are excellent, it feels very cyberpunk. & as a fellow genre hopper I say that's a plus! Why should an album just be different variations of the same sound? Give the people a buffet! 😁

Ah the creepy dark vibe is so totally appropriate for this topic! I personally have been avoiding meta as much as I can. I love the contrast of your delicate haunting vocals with the low pulsating synth. The musical treatment of the final stanzas is sooooo good - the higher pitch, volume and intensity - it feels so good to hear you really let it out. Repeating those lyrics seems so appropriate also. Wow great song!

This is dark and so on the nose. Great synth, great modified voice, super melody lines and lyrics. I especially love those lines "Impossible choice between / Losing you or being free"... I had to think about it a minute but it totally makes sense. I love what's here and I also love the drums that @steptide added.
