Marion came over this morning with some lyrics and we put together two songs. He's had this title rolling around for a year or so and was extremely happy to have something to show for it.
Lyrics
Tide Roll in, Tide Roll Out
It’s a wonder that the raindrops go Down to the Gulf of Mexico I don’t know what to do or say To feel alright since she went away
Tide roll out, tide roll in
Seagulls circle in the wind
I’ve come to be alone with me
And put to rest her memory
Stars come out and night comes on Every dusk since she’s been gone As my tears fall into the sea I don’t know what’s become of me
Tide roll out, tide roll in Seagulls circle in the wind I’ve come to be alone with me And put to rest her memory
Small town street, dead ends meet
Here to get back on my feet
People ask me where I’ve been
I saw the sea and I’m back again
Tide roll out, tide roll in Seagulls circle in the wind I’ve come to be alone with me And put to rest her memory

Love the lines in the bridge: "dead ends meet," "People ask me where I've been, I saw the sea and I'm back again" - good writing!
This is really cool… Like it a lot! Digging the stripped down vibe, wonderful lyrics, great composition, Vox, performance and production! had me from the start with the intro till the end
I love it. . .the guitar riff is inexorable as the tide, and the lyrics are a journey through grief to acceptance. Nice!!
