Dancing Out Of Time

Liner Notes

This song is actually 40 years old; given I have hit the 14 song target I thought I would have a bit of an archaeological dig in the old bins. This came out really very well and the AI female vocal suits it really well.

What's it about? Well two possible meanings, Dancing Out of Time, as in not dancing IN time, also paying no attention to the state of the world and Dancing yourself out of time. This was the mid 80s and nuclear conflict was always a possibility.

Anyways, hope you like it.

Approx lyrics

cross and divide you can't ever cry when the wind blows cold lights up in the east lights up in the west our fears exposed

radiant light penetrates the night shadows of the fall do what you do best dance like all the rest because there's no place left to go

and you're dancing out of time fear hidden from your mind yes you're dancing yeah yes you're dancing out of time fear hidden from your mind yes you're dancing yes you're dancing out of time fear hidden from your mind yes you're you're dancing out of time

cars no racing lights no symbol of the life shadows of the fall do what you do best dance like all the rest because there's no place left to go

and you're dancing out of time fear hidden from your mind yes you're dancing yeah yes you're dancing out of time fear hidden from your mind yes you're dancing yes you're dancing out of time fear hidden from your mind yes you're you're dancing out of time

@daveyboy103 No wonder that this song was played on TV! How great. There is something about good Pop Songs...

@akeli we actually played this song, or a version of this song, on Irish TV in 1983. Mo video survives of this event however.

@daveyboy103 Its a hit! 😎 I really think it’s great! I was a kid and teeny youngster in the 80ies and this sounds perfect. The generic voice is marvellous, especially the bits where it goes lose, like in the „dawahh“-sort of section (the intro) and the repeated „yeah“ in the chorus. Maybe you could twist the sound properties of the start a bit and make it more recognizable. It’s a full package, this one, and the theme is not only a historic one, although it’s not so present in public anymore.

@billwhite51 i will probably do it again myself

this is a fabulous pop song that deserves a real singer. problem with the IA is that the sound comes out without any breath. i like to hear the intake and output of air. but in todays market, maybe you are better off with an air(less) doll than a girl,
