Liner Notes

I let my computer randomly select five words from the selection given. Those words were: flock feather sing strike boast

So my first thought was that every word kind of fits with a bird theme and I don't really know where to take that as I don't like being obvious with my lyrics. Now as I read it, these are to inspire, I don't have to use each word in the song but I probably will use most of them

"I saw your face / I want to be a bird. / Try to avoid the jungle." ~wise words from google translate after multiple translations

Lyrics

I think you worry too much about the weather I think you try to find too many patterns In the colors on a feather Do I wanna drag you out of here? Do I wanna drag you out of here?

Oh, she struck me, what's that you said? You love me? Well that's a pretty lie Don't need to tell me why Cause I know it's justified

Oh it's not, my fault That people gravitate towards their own kind Well I'm not, anyone's kind Or even mine for as far as I know And I wish we could turn out alright

Oh, she struck me, what's that you said? You love me? Well that's a pretty lie Don't need to tell me why Cause I know it's justified

Oh, you probably think I'm strange With the way I lay out the table cloth And that I count each grain of salt

And you know that I only want you attention And you know that I boast about what I pretend to have Of what you're dragging behind your back Of what you say like but have never had Those were the words I wish I never said

(Because now you know my secret)

Oh, she struck me, what's that you said? You love me? Well that's a pretty lie (Sing it with me) Oh, she struck me, what's that you said? You love me? Well that's a pretty lie Don't need to tell me why Cause I know it's justified

These lyrics are sure intriguing. I think this could be a very fun song to make a tune for because the rhythm is not too regular and there appear to be layers of meaning, although that might not have been intended. I would be interested to listen if it gets a tune. #tit4tat

I'd love to hear this set to music. I read it as a song about abuse but maybe you meant it differently.

That’s an especially strong chorus, bouncing around in both rhythm and narrative. People will have to hear it several times.
