Skirmish: Cold Enough For You? (@metalfoot)Liner Notes
(*Number 9 of my 14 orig lyrics for my THE FAWMERIZED ALBUM!)
I checked out FAWM 's fab "Struxxure" tab in its "The Muse" section on the site and chose to go with here for this #ColdEnoughForYou #skirmish : Ch, V, V, Ch. I hear this write in song with acoustic guitar and/or piano, soft drums, and as a sweet, tender lovesong. Why not collab--add your vocals and music to my lyric!
Skirmish: "Write a song that has the title or uses the phrase "Cold enough for you?" in it. This is a standard phrase used in places like Manitoba on a day like today, where, if it were not already a holiday (in Canada it is 'Family Day' or 'Louis Riel Day' in Manitoba) schools here would be closed on account of the cold.
"Have fun with the topic/title. The song doesn't have to be about the weather... there are all sorts of ways you might use the theme!
"And as always, it's good Skirmish practice to spend some time listening/reading what others in the skirmish have come up with. Cheers! -Alex the metalfoot

Lyrics
Guess we're both shy, Melissa Tongue-tied when each is around Am I cold enough for you? Or a quiet love you're glad you found?
When the furnace wasn't working How you gave me a call Fixed, then sat together after No talking we had a ball
Was never looking for something But there upon us it fell Being alone with you So much we each didn't tell
Guess we're both shy, Melissa Tongue-tied when each is around Am I cold enough for you? Or a quiet love you're glad you found?

We'd love to make something for this one, Chris. I like how you've built a sense of character and place in just a few words. Well done.
This is a great portrait well painted... Really fun in the ilk of PMs Lovely Rita! Really hope someone does it musical justice!!! Write on Chris!!
What a cosy little love story to warm the heart. This write is tender and sweet, gives me an old time jazzy vibe. Really lovely!
Great take on the prompt. I love how you built a whole story around this. Great write.
This is really great writing! Good skirmish!
I love how you used the prompt to write a love song! My favorite part was “Am I cold enough for you? Or a quiet love you’re glad you found?”
I'd be curious to hear Melissa's side of this one for sure! Good writing.
I like the use of the furnace repair.to.merge the analogy with real life.
