Where’s My Phone?
Liner Notes
this one is experimental. i grabbed some a couple of lines from my notes app in my phone about voicemails and anxiety and all of a sudden i had a story about someone who is panicking about a phone.
my original recording had the verse part and the fast noisy part and then the whole thing repeated again. i originally planned to write two different sets of lyrics for the first and second verses. but i didn’t. i almost left it like that, but right before i posted the 2:20 version of this, i decided it would be better to just get in and get out. so here’s the edited version. the intro is the tail end of the beginning part that got cut. i like that it starts with a little noise.
Lyrics

Hahaha anxiety makes great cardio! 😂 Very relatable content here, nice one!
Nice.
There’s something TMBG-ish in the concept and the execution. I love the idea that you only listen on vinyl thus making it too much effort to listen. Really liked the chords, as usual.
Super audiophile/vinyl-voice-notes gag to kick us off! Love the mad sonic breakdown, and then the “oh, here it is” is a masterclass in comic timing. Fun track dude!
Love the double vocals. "Voicemails on vinyl" lol The "noisy part" is really excellent. This made me laugh, especially the ending.
That's catchy as hell, and the chromatic chord changes broke my brain somewhat. I reckon there's a proper song in there if you didn't want it to be experiemental!
Ha, awesome! The vm on vinyl is great and surprised it's not a thing, the panic and mood shift captures the feeling of lost panic well.
“I only listen to my voicemails when they’re on vinyl” is a fantastic line! I love the contrast between the power pop and the noise rock, too. And the ending is just right. I think shorter may be the right call on this one (no “call” pun intended).
love this song and the music video. I can relate to not listening to voicemails. It's a bop.
I did have a panic attack once when I forgot my phone and had to drive back to get it. I just kept thinking, what happens if I get in a wreck or something. How can I call for help? I had to talk myself down by remembering that I used to deliver pizzas in the late 90s with no cellphone lol. What a strange world we live in.
I love the descending melody you sang for the "lost my phone" to the "great cardio" part. Nice dynamics in bringing it down right before the full on panic attack section. Great stuff dude!
