It’s the middle again Of the night so long She’s wide awake again Writing another song

About love and heartbreak, This of another kind, When her child is hurting, It drives her out of her mind

She tries to protect His eight year old self But wants him to build up Self confidence, true wealth.

A literal heartache, He’s had since birth She shares it too, Stealing much of her mirth.
