I Love Horses

Liner Notes
Wouldn't it be ridiculous to say you love a thing so much, then fundamentally change everything about it once you get the chance? So that by the time you've had your hands on it for just a matter of weeks, it's barely recognizable as the thing you said that you loved? Wouldn't that just be silly.
This is also the FAWM debut of the slide guitar! I wish it were a more auspicious introduction but alas.
Lyrics
If anybody asks and they probably will “Hey what’s your favorite animal?” I love horses
Super-efficient, built for speed I love every color of every breed I love horses
Equus caballus, of thee I sing I wouldn’t change a single thing
I said I wouldn’t change a thing, this don’t make me a liar But I always thought it would be cool if they could breathe fire I love horses
Hooves are fine, I guess, but get ready because We’re gonna change those babies into retractable claws I love horses
Equus caballus, beauty in movement But just a couple more things that, in my opinion, could use improvement
Horses eat plants and that’s pretty neat But let’s give you incisors so you can eat red meat I love horses
Lateral eye placement, that’s kinda dull Let’s put both eyes on the front of the skull I love horses
Equus caballus, what’s in a name Yeah you can say that you love it, babe, but now it ain’t the same I love horses

This is sweet and weird and all things cool, Carley! Almost like a horse rap which I am not sure has been done before.
I love this song.... nearly forty years in the making. Very reminiscent of horse-dragon hybrid sketches in some sketchbook somewhere.
i love the vocal harmonies which put the sonic emoji on "i love horses 😍 " also the slide guitar is PERFECT for this song
What a concept for a song. Very cool. Love the beat and your rapping seems very smooth. Incredible wordplay.
Turning horses into oversize fire breathing carnivorous rats! Love what you do.
This song is so impressive! Those vocals! You used heckin Equus Caballus in a song. Absolutely unhinged. I love this song
I swear that when I was about 4 my mum used to listen to a song like this. Not about horses. No. But there's something wonderfully 60s-weird about the rhythm of the words. And who wouldn't love horses if they were just a different shape, colour, size and smell? I know I would!
As silly as this is, there's a lot of skill on display here. A pretty innovative concept with some adventurous rhymes and a glib lyrical flow. The title hook is very catchy and you duet beautifully with yourself.
Truly a Reference Horse.
This one grabbed me right away. It's all such a catchy delight, and the absurd lyric had me chuckling. I've been pondering the noble qualities and deficiencies of horses myself. It's no surprise to me that horses weren't able to put Humpty Dumpty together again: they have hooves and aren't known for their fine motor skills. You, however, have myriad musical skills and you use them to good effect here. I'm gonna be singing that chorus for a little while
